Meet Dr. Reese
Dr. Bryan Willis Reese began his educational career in the State of Georgia and has served both affluent and high-need communities. Dr. Reese spent his former years teaching as a Professor in the Social Sciences at West Georgia, an elementary reading teacher, and as a high school history teacher prior to accepting an assignment in school administration in the DeKalb County School District. He currently serves as the founding principal of Utopian High School, a new endeavor within the Utopian Charter School Network.
Dr. Reese holds an undergraduate degree in Sociology from Georgia State University, three post graduate certificates from Emory University and Georgia State University, a double graduate degree in Public Policy/ Government and a Doctoral Degree in Education from ‘Methodist U.’

His educational experiences have afforded him the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse group of people to meet the common goal of increasing student achievement and well-being. His educational philosophy is based on his uncompromising belief that all students can learn, given the opportunity, a positive learning environment, strong and intentional leadership, a committed and focused support team, an encouraging community, and a supportive family.
Dr. Reese is an avid vocalist/musician, resides in the southern metropolitan, rural areas of Atlanta, Georgia.
