Meet Mrs. Craft

Mrs. Ebonne Woods Craft has served since the emergence of Utopian Academy for the Arts as an English instructor, Theatre instructor, Reading Specialist, and Dean of Arts.  

Ebonne Woods Craft is a native of Toledo, Ohio and an alumnus of Tennessee State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Communication and Theatre. She earned her Master of Educational Administration from Strayer University, along with a Specialist of Education in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment from Cambridge College in August of 2010. 

Mrs. Craft has been an educator for twenty- three years and has taught students from preschool through high school.  She has acquired a vast amount of experience in the world of theatre and has performed in a variety of theatrical productions. Mrs. Craft has received various awards for her dedication and experience and enjoys mentoring former students and guiding them on their desired journeys. She has also trained students in the areas of Drama, Speech, Debate, and the History of Theatre. Mrs. Craft’s focus as Director of Arts Education is to continue training Utopian scholars to artistically compete on a global level. Mrs. Craft’s mantra is: “It takes a Utopian village to raise a star.”  Mrs. Craft enjoys in her pastime traveling the world with her friends, family and watching movies. She lives by the scripture: Proverbs 3:5,6 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
